As
the Judge of two felony Courts, Judge Burnett presided over more
than 15,000 cases including
in excess of 600 jury trials and 300
court trials. During
his terms on these two benches, his reversal rate
was among the lowest in Harris County. |

his career Judge Burnett has been a frequent lecturer and speaker
at various criminal law seminars including, but not limited to,
programs sponsored by: the State Bar of Texas; the Houston
Bar Association;
the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; the Harris County
Criminal Law Association; and South Texas College of Law. |
